Hello all.

I am looking at upgrading the system on my '15 and I would like to find a complete plug and play type kit for my install. I'm leaning towards the Arc Audio XDi 450.4 vs the KS mini 4 channel. I heard the KS runs hot, but looks like it would fit better. Anyway, I know you have to buy direct from them, but I don't see any available install kits for the XDi such as mounting, wire harness, speaker adapters, etc. I want a 4 channel so I can add 2 rear lid speakers later on and have enough amp to handle it. I know some of you have the Arc stuff and was hoping you could point me in the right direction for install. Thx..,

I went with the J&M 500 Rokker Extreme and their speakers. Life time warranty, plug and play and 10 15% off for members. John is a sponsor here. I run the amp hard with no issues

Thx. I was looking at that system as well as the 360w version also. Found some pretty good deals on them too. Even less than with the member discount. The only difference is the 500w is the Extreme and the 360w is the Performance series. Not sure what the difference is though. I have speakers I'll be using JBL GTO 629 in the fairings to start. Always liked their stuff. Does the Rokker run hot?

Soundz customz can set you up with an arc install kit. Highly recommend checking them out- excellent performance.

Arc audio makes kits. They have 2 and 4 Chanel setups including speakers. They have several levels of speakers. The 2 Chanel with the best speakers is 550. For reference

I have run mine in the garage for a couple hours and had no issues. The amp fan does run when doing it

Go with SoundzCustomz.....Peter is GREAT to work with.

I have a Level IV.... all plug and play....

Also.. HIGHLY advise you upgrade to the Arc XDI 600.4 or Moto.... the amp is easy to mount...150x4 gives you plenty of power to run 2-4 speakers and I run 157-2's in my lids with Focal 165KRC's in the faring

Thx. I've been meaning to reach out to Peter at Soundz. From all the reading I've been doing on this site, seems like he's the go to guy for an Arc setup. The only problem is it looks like alot of his stuff is in the form of packages, and I don't need speakers. Just amp, mount, and wiring harnesses for power and speakers. Also, it looks like I would have to go to the dealer and get a dredded flash after install, whereas John from JM says his Extreme amp kit does not need one if radio is stock ( never flashed ). I will ask Peter about that also.
Spazz, any reason why you suggest going up to the 600.4 vs. 450.4? it's about a 200.00 price swing and it seems the 450.4 has good power? Or is there something else I should know?

I have the same system as Spazz and I started with the focals in the fairing with a 125 watt and it just wasn't enough so I upgraded to the 600.4 with just the fairing speakers and wow what a difference. Have the lids and bag speakers but haven't gotten them installed just yet too busy working and elk hunting.

Peter can hook you up with whatever you need with plug and play harnesses.. just call.

The 600.4 is very efficient and if you plan to add more speakers later, you will have plenty of power to do so... best pay up front once then more a second time around.

The flash is good if done correctly.... i run the flash as described on Soundz site and is great! another option is Biketronics Line Levelers and everybody that uses them are super impressed....

Are the Biketronics Levelers similar to the CS Magic Box? I was just on their website looking for grills I'm guessing the JBL's will need them and looked at their bagger stuff. Didn't you run their amps at one point?

Also, if you really want to avoid the dealer flash, Pete can provide a magic box- but I think he prefers that customers go with a flash and proper tune.

The Moto 600.4 is a bit smaller in size than the 125.4, and it pushes more power per channel than the 125.4 in any configuration.

I am very happy with the customer service I received from Pete. Looks like you've checked his website; just give him a call and see what he can do as far as alacart pricing.

Will do. I'm planning on it, but I'm on the east coast, not sure if they're open yet or open today. Major snowstorm here right now, looks like I have all day to my final research!!!

I too used Pete at Soundz customz for my 14 special. I went Level IV. I'm in NY and didn't want to wait for Delmarva bike week, and couldn't make Laconia. He contacted his installer who was heading up there a week later. He came by my place and did the install in my garage.
You will NOT find better customer support anywhere else that'll beat Soundz. Thier systems will beat anyone else in any price point, and you won't get bull****ted about what works and what doesn't.
Give them a call before you make a choice, you'll be glad you did

Welcome to the fun Sandhog. Have nothing but good things to say about Peter and Soundz they have treated me really good.

The reason tumor want to go with an amp that has more power available is so it isn't working as hard to produce the power the speakers need. You can run a smaller amp, but depending on the way you listen to your music the smaller amp will work harder to keep up with demand!!!
