I just purchased the Arc Audio KS 125.2

I will be be purchasing the 62.11i's very soon.

Now I went to the dealer to talk about the flash to disable the DSP to run the external amp... they assured me that the bugs with the flash is fixed... we shall see...

My question>

Do I flash the boom audio before or after I install the new amp and speakers? I never asked...

Also... anybody else running these components? Wondering about your reviews,,,

Thanks

I will flash after the install...found out...

So did you have to purchase the BOOM first and then change every thing over? I am wanting to add the bag speakers and the front BOOM just so I can add a good amp and the FOCAL speakers. I was told at my dealership I could not add anything to after market to the 14's yet. Very curious how this worked out for you.

I haven't installed anything yet.... but I already have the 6.5gt Boom Audio.... stock on SGS. There are plug and play amps on the market now, but very pricey. J&M Audio is one of them. John is a vendor on here... he can let you know all you need to know.

MANY folks have upgraded amps and speakers on their 14's.... you just don't notice any difference in speaker upgrades until you install an amp to make it worthwhile.

My Arc Audio is NOT plug and play... I have to get into the wiring harness which is not a big deal.. I have the service manual which is worth every penny of $60.

I have a 14 SGS and was told that the BOOM audio was an after add on not stock. If we have a stock BOOM system I am not impressed at all.
I do not mind spending the money as long as it is what I want and delivers the sound I am looking for.

John if you are a vendor on here let me know what you have to offer.

There are Boom upgrades of amp and speakers for the Boom audio from HD... they call them "High Performance " but we in fact have the boom audio system.... the radio itself is the Boom Box 6.5 GT...its just not amped up with the high end high output speakers...

Here is a cut and paste from HD's site on the SGS:

"New Boom!™ Box 6.5GT Radio
Let’s start with the big news: 25% more volume for your tunes. The new Boom!™ Box 6.5GT Radio puts out 25 watts per channel at 1% distortion and features a factory-tuned, optimized equalizer that pumps out more power and can be played louder while maintaining the clarity of your sound. And the new speed tuning system delivers more than just volume changes at different speeds. It changes the level of bass and treble to dial-in the best sound, whether you’re running at stately pace down the strip or going hell for leather down an open stretch of road. How do you like the sound of a Harley® motorcycle now?"

Now.. if you want the BOOM Upgrades... you need to buy the speakers and amp from HD... or you can go to J&M for plug and play amps and speakers....

Check here for details... http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=50

Make sure you watch John's videos... he compares his speakers to the Boom Upgrade speakers....

I just purchased the Infinity Kappa 62.11i speakers for the front faring. I went to HD and ask about ordering the Boom audio speaker covers. They said they can't order unless I have part number , which they couldn't find since it's only listed in a kit. Any ideas on part number?

They don't want to help you.... each kit has a parts breakdown for ordering individual components of the kit.... I have done it.... my guy at Chester's HD has done it several times for me

The part number for the Right side grill is 76000321
and the number for the Left side is 76000322 and yes, they are in fact different.
