audio upgrade from dealer

So I stopped by my local HD dealer and inquired about upgrading my 14 FLHXS audio...just wanted to see what it would cost...front speakers upgraded, rear speakers added with new lids with grills & 4 chanel amp with reflash- all parts & labor = $1983.00 before tax...

Ouch- I would check with j&m and their 250w amp. I ran that four about 3 years before going to their 500w amp. But the 250w works great with their Rokker speakers--good luck!!

Did they ask for your first born too. I know the boom audio upgrade was $1000 for mine but I got 15% off from when I bought the bike.

Cycle sounds sells speaker lids for about 450.00. You have to get them painted, another 200 to 300 hundred. Plus they hold 6x9 speakers

I have the Boom audio just like yours...FLHXS "Special"....but I was looking to do an upgrade regarding an amp, front speakers & adding the rear speakers with accompanying lids...

So what would y'all do?
Got a quote for Boom Audio amp & lid speakers installed $2520.61 I have the upgraded speakers for the front.
So i could get stretched bags & no speakers or speakers & no stretched bags for about the same. How ever you look at it 2k for one of these upgrades. I found Other Side Customs shop to do the work. hmmm

I think I would go with the stretched bags and maybe an amp for the fronts

New to the forum,but I went with the Rockford fosgate pbr 300x4 amp and upgraded the fairing speakers with hertz 6.5 It can be heard clearly at speeds of 80 mph + at 3/4 volume. Cost was $325 plus my time to install.
