Back from Sturgis now... with a little more than I went with.....

Better yet SOUND SUSTEM !
Going to upgrade and if so the same system and set up ?

Get on your bad motor scooter and ride

My question to Spazz what will you do different to the RG from what you did to the SGS ?
Apparently some things won't need upgrading ?
But as far as the things you do change, change up or stick to what you did on SGS.
FP3 ?
Needed with the better motor etc of the 120ST, or something different then FP3 ?

To answer your question(s)...

90% of everything I did to the SGS is already on the RGS120...

CD LED's, Plasma Rods, chrome hand controls and chrome levers, AN Grips, mirrors, chrome oil cooler cover, chrome lower belt guard, Nasty Baggers shift linkage, highway pegs, shifter pegs and bag bars all swapped....

The exceptions are Fork Fangs, Daymaker and Windsplitter shield.... Joker bought all the these parts since I couldn't swap.

Now as far as the sound system... just ordered my amp bracket from Soundz Customz to do the entire audio swap into the RGS120. I am swapping complete bags, so no mods needed.

The only thing I am lacking on is the bars... I am still debating on 12's or 14" Yaffe Monkeys.

Oh and the FP3 won't do what I need for a tune on the 120ST motor. I have been in touch with Dynojet and I need some details from Harley on my injector size. The exhaust is equipped with wide-band O2 ports, so I need something a bit more than the FP3 is my thought. I just have to wait out my 1000 mile break-in which gives me a little time to sort things out as far as tuning.... research is the key here.

My SGS is now sitting with a complete Stage 1, V/H Pro Pipe and FP3..... with 12" Yaffe Monkeys .... she looks naked to me now... LOL!!!!

For this reason.... I KEEP ALL MY PARTS!!!!! it works in my favor and don't have to start from scratch again.....

Rode a bike with 14's on it while at Sturgis. I will have to go 16 after riding it for a while. Best part the bike was the twin to mine lol. Buddy lives in Gillette Wy came and found me we did several rides in one afternoon that usually takes 3.

Lucky man.

Road Glide isn't for me (I'm a smaller guy and that thing feels like a freakin boat) but she sure is pretty.

Tom, what was it about the 14's that made you decide to look at 16's? I'm considering looking into a new set of bars for my ride but haven't been able to get a feel for anything larger than 12's yet. I keep scoping out my local dealers' lots to see if any pop up.

My buddies bike had the 14's all the way forward and I will pull mine back a ways doing so the longer bars will help. Had a set of 14"s here but sold them Monday to a friend. Will order the 16's with new stainless braided lines as I will have to replace those now. I'm 6-1 and have a very tall torso and that makes me different for the size I guess.

Good luck in your search and when I finally get mine installed I will let you know and post pictures.

Congratulations Spazz! Almost like having a kid. Have you picked out a name yet?:)

I was also in Sturgis. I thought my rally shirt purchase was a big deal. Ya done good!

Hope you are not defecting to the Road Glide Forum.

Congrats Spazz...thats what I was wondering....Road Glide Forum...guess we won't be seeing you much around here....lol

Spazz- congrats on your new sled- it's gorgeous. That makes for one pricey vacation, but it's the gift that keeps on giving. I got back from Sturgis this past Monday evening- what a party. I didn't do any mods while I was there, I had just installed the gloss black tank console, so I was all set. Me and my bro rode about 1,000 miles while in Sturgis, stayed in Glencoe. I met my bro in Portland- 650 mile one day ride, we trailered to/from Sturgis then I rode back home to the Bay Area from The Dalles, OR. Next time: I will ride, and stay in either Spearfish or Deadwood areas as they are closer to the ride points. Wonderful time. Next up: Street Vibrations.

Thanks....

We had a blast! Did the Badlands on Monday, Full Throttle/Knuckle on Tuesday, Mt Rushmore and Spearfish Canyon and Deadwood on Wed, Devil's Tower on Thursday and Friday was spent all day on Main St. Of course, each night was EPIC ( from what I can remember.. LOL)

We stayed at a private ranch 8 miles east of Sturgis.... beautiful with only a handful of our closest friends in our area.
