It really depends on the handlebar since the rise / pullback is different between manufacturers and such. Which ones are you looking at?
I used heritage bars on mine. Did have to extend clutch cable but that was it .

Good choice....from what I understand all three styles of Ergo Bars (Back , Up, Standard) do not require changing out any of the cables. I personally used to run the Ergo Backs on my '10 Street Glide and know for certain that I did not have to change any of the cables.
Do you know exactly which Roland Sands bars you are interested in? I ask because we recently installed a set of RSD Lazy Boy handlebars on a friends '12 Street Glide and we did not have to extend any of the wires or cables.

Anybody using the Klock Werks Ergo Standard Bars mentioned below? With the stock H-D bars the clutch & brake levers hit my legs before I can turn to full lock. I don't want bars much taller than stock so I can use the fairing mirrors and keep my hands out of the wind. It gets cold here in Minnesota.

5) Will Ergo Bars work with my fairing-mounted mirrors?
A. Installing the Ergo Bars on Street Glides with faring-mounted mirrors, for example, may cause your hand on the handgrip to block portions of the mirror, thus limiting their use and functionality. The degree of use or non-use of the fairing-mounted mirrors will be determined by the final handlebar position at installation. If this becomes an issue for you, Klock Werks recommends using handlebar-mounted mirrors instead.
