So I got the PowerVision from FuelMoto and got the download done, along with pulling the cat and adding the mufflers and Big Sucker. The bike sounds nice, like a Harley should. I do get a bit more decel popping than I want. Rather than bugging the FuelMoto guys, I was thinking of trying the Autotune Basic that comes with the tuner to see if that helps. Has anyone tried this, and does it work? Or should I just call the FuelMoto guys?

Any thoughts/opinions?

Jon0422- a few years back no matter what I did to my Road King it had the infamous decel pop. A friend suggested I check all exhaust bolts for tightness as air suck in can cause firing/popping. Turns out all four of my Exhaust flange bolts were really loose and causing the problem. This may or may not be your cause but its free to check it out. If they are loose be sure to follow HD's bolt torque parameters.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I did torque them to spec and in sequence from another post I saw online. I may recheck them though.

I got a map from FuelMoto, the bike ran really good with it but I also had way more decel pop than I would like. I ran the autotune, thinking that would help, when I was done the decel was just as bad and the bike ran horrible. It stumbled, wanted to die at idle and was no where near as responsive as the original map was..I went back to the original map and have been adding to the fuel on the quick tune on the decel trying to get it better. I don't know if that it the right way to go as I am definitely no expert with the Powervision. but it is a place to start.

I had a similar experience. I finally called Fuelmoto and they sent me a map. But they did mention that my baffles were too big (2.5") They recommended 2-2.25" baffles would eliminate the decal popping issue. The bike does run a lot better with the new map. There's still some popping once in awhile but I can live with it.

Don't run a PV. I had the dealer do a stage 1 Arlen Ness Big Sucker & a download, gut the cat, 4" Rineharts with 2.25" baffles. I also get an occasional pop on downshifting. Other than that it runs great and get what I consider great fuel mileage. Just saying maybe it's not worth chasing unless it's bad.

Did they upgrade one of their original maps or was it the first map you requested from them? My original map was from Fuel Moto

sprnt96. FM sent me an upgraded map based on the 3rd auto tune I performed after removing my cat converter. The original map they sent me was based on my specs I sent them. SE A/C and Rush Racing slip ons w/2.5" baffles. I installed the PV2 at this time.

Auto tune takes patience and thousands of miles to get it right. I have 7000 miles running auto tune on my PV. It runs pretty good now. When I started AT it ran like crap. Stumbling and popping . I still run auto tune because it only gets better the more you miles you log.

Sent from the mobile leash

Agreed, I run the PCV PTI with Autotune. I have a couple thousand miles in it and still working on the tune . I also like all the options that the PCV offers . They also have great customer support. I spoke with a couple of their guys at Daytona and they worked with me showing me how to work some of the features and what would be best for my bike..
