Best LED headlight?

After getting stuck after dark doing some recert. requirements for work I was riding home on a 10 mile stretch of dark 2 lane canyon roads which during the day is fun but definitely was not enjoyable this night with the stock headlight.
So after reading all the reviews here and elsewhere I pulled the trigger on the JW Evo 2... $263 + free shipping off amazon.
Pretty excited and will post my review in a few days

mvrigger.......since you are in the process of doing this install, would you post the adapter part number when it is handy. Thanks

buckshot85......do you have any thoughts on how to eliminate the dead zone in a turn? (other than mounting more lights?)

Just got the JW Evo 2 installed, wasn't a difficult install at all just had to splice in the wire for garage door opener to the high beam wire. Since I got the black one I went ahead and got the black trim ring to finish it off.
Heading out for a ride now to check out the difference.

I can't give a technical opinion but, it's bright and I like it I especially like the wide footprint it lays down in front of me, and it looks damn sexy!

mvrigger- how about doing a piece on connecting a garage door opener thru the hi/low beam switch. Lots of newcomers on SGF might like to see it.

To the best of my knowledge..yes..the stock harness goes 1 plug to 2 plug 1 for low beam 1 for high beam the evo is a 1 plug
Maybe someone else on here can chime in and answer this

Has anyone tried the Custom Dynamics True Beam LED Headlight? I can't find any reviews on it. I currently have the J W Speakers 8700 and am very happy with it other than it has a very flat beam and dips as you turn a corner. It is much brighter than the stock light. I've seen the video from Custom Dynamics and the side by side comparison make the CD Version better than anything they test it against. Just wondering if anyone has tried it yet? Thank Guys

I just went on their site and saw that damn thing and I just got thru installing the jdub light a couple days ago.
The one thing I noticed though is on the comparison it says...JW Speaker 8700 not JW Speaker 8700 evolution 2
The Evolution 2 I believe is the 3rd generation of these lights. There was a 8700..then a 8700 evolution..then a 8700 evolution 2 if they are in fact using a 1st Gen 8700 then it wouldn't be a fair comparison, or maybe it was a typo...hmmm
