Hello guys.
I`m sorry if this issue has been talked before, couldn`t find an answer.
This is the thing...Just changed stock AC, headers and pipes for Screaming Eagle AC, V&H Power Duals, V&H Monster Rounds slip-ons and V&H FP3.
My bike is an Ultra Limited 2014....Now, after the re-map, the bike runs way much better, no pops when decelerating, throttle response is very smooth and fast, love the sound of the bike ( still can hear my tunes at the highway).....But...now i feel more heat on my right leg than before, with stock bike never had heat problems on my right leg...and i did some long summer trips ( Texas,Arizona) with no discomfort.
My questions are...is this normal? Should i give the bike some time to adapt since i only rode it for may be 2 hours since the new set up?
Any thoughts?
Thank you so much.
Ride safe, Ride often.
Vic.

It's probably tuned for peak power now, which will make it run hotter. If you give more fuel it will cool down (rich of peak). If you give it less fuel it will also cool down (lean of peak). If you go either way you sacrifice some power. I think LOP sacrifices more than ROP. Peak EGT will produce the best power, but also make it run hottest.

Same principles used in general aviation piston airplanes. Both are air cooled engines.

Well. I just downloaded the suggested map from V&H acording to my new set-up. The V&H tech told me it should be running a 20% cooler than with stock exhaust but it`s all the way around...any ways. thank you for your answer RoadWarrior.

Should Check into the Vance and Hines oil I know the guy that formulates it for over the counter and their race bikes. I run his brand in my 13 with stage 3 kit in TX and have never seen over 255 on 90 and 100 deg days.

I will, I`m running amsoil now and actually it`s time for the 15k service. Will check V&H oil.

Air Feul ratio ? Lean cylinder = hot
Black coating inside muffler = lean

Mine feels hotter with the de - catted pipe , can't use my right hwy peg vary long before Im burning. Thinking I'll go with the Fuel Moto ceramic coated headpipe

Bike Hotter after FP3

Most likely running lean. Lean = hot
Throw emissions prob up pipe see what you get for numbers my bet close to 20

Mine was all the way around, with stock headers was running pretty cool, after V&H Headers and High Flow AC the bike is hotter. Even with the FP3 installed.

Im running de-catted stock headers with VHs drake AC and VHs slash cut rounds with Fp3 and mine runs noticeable cooler with the VHs duels tune in it.
