Bike wash help

What are you guys using to clean your bikes? Just bought a 2013 Street Glide and I don't think the previous owner ever took the bags off for cleaning. Looking for the best spray on for the rear wheel, swing arm, frame that I can power wash off without having to detail for hours.

I always use Mothers or Mcguirars soap and cleaners. Pig spit for polishing paint and chrome.

You power wash farm equipment. Not a Harley.

Get the bike wet with low pressure clean water. Use a bucket of warm soapy water (HD Sunwash is good) and a soft sponge or mit. Dry off the bike with a blower. Follow up with Harley Gloss and a microfiber cloth.

For the wheels and tires, you can use spray on Harley wheel and tire cleaner.

Yes, I use a lot of Harley cleaning products, but I've tried vehicle cleaning products and the result wasn't as good. Lots of chrome and denim paint can pose some unique challenges

I have flat black on my bike, and have never used any soap and there is no need to polish. I just spray it down with the hose then dry with microfiber cloth. Anything that is stubborn to get off, I use a wet microfiber cloth and wipe it off.

You have to be really careful, or you could get shiny spots in your paint. At the end of the day, even denim bikes have lots of chrome that also need to be cleaned and shined properly, so IMHO it's best to do it right with warm soap and water, followed by the steps I spelled out

Works on everything even bare aluminum

I wet the bike, spray a section, wash with a mitt or a brush and rinse well.

As with any product, wash you bike in the shade.

I use Adams soaps and waxes when needed. Maybe 2 washes a year and then a blower to dry when possible. Detail spray and terrycloth when not. In-between "washes" I use Bug-Slide or Adams waterless wash. They are good on all surfaces even the wrinkle black.

So of the best products I've found that works great is Wizards products. I've spent a lot of money and still come back to Wizards. By far the best bang for your buck.

I use S100 total cycle cleaner when I wash the bike it gets the motor looking like new, spray it on wash it off. When I wax I use Meguirs Ultimate polymer wax on glossy paint (definitely not on flat paint though). When I detail I also use S100 detail and wax on everything. I wax the chrome with mothers chrome polish, Bike looks like showroom.

I spray Bug Slide on the fairing and where there are a ton of bugs and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I use Bike Wash or Dawn.

Dawn is great for getting oil, grease, and wax off a surface, use a soap made for motorcycles or cars or you will need to rewax after every wash.

Well I kinda thought if its safe enough to clean Exxon Oil of my dinner then it shouldn't be to bad on a bike

First clean I use a clay bar after a wash then use mothers sealant and canuba wax. After that mothers polish and redo the claybar every 6 months. Takes a weekend but worth it.

For chrome and ally I import a special mix from a polisher mate in the states. I may bring in a job lot to sell on as I have a few cars with ally engine parts too.
