I ended up getting the Rockford Fosgate amp and ordered a set of the new Biketronics (7.1 Titan II) speakers for the 2014 models. Install was pretty straight forward, they use the same mounting points and stock bolts. Put the brackets in, I would recommend putting in the top 2 bolts first, you'll have to unplug the gauge wiring on each side to get at the inner most bolt, then put in the bottom 3 bolts. The left side bracket will still let you retain the CB module if you have one. Speakers were a simple 4 screw install. Someone mentioned that the stock speaker pods were designed to keep the fairing stiff, the way these new brackets are made I'm pretty certain there is no loss of firmness in the fairing.
This would be a plug-play deal if you are NOT installing an amp, however since I did I had to cut the speaker wiring. Overall a fairly simple job, the hardest part is reaching some of the bolt locations. I have an appointment in the morning to get the radio flashed for using an amp, but it's already much louder and better sounding.
Couple pics.....#1 is the top 2 bolts, #2 is the lower 3 bolts (right side), #3 is the right side where you can see the bolt that holds the CB bracket. Apologies for the lousy cell phone pictures.
