Bluebowtie.... IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!! LOL

Thanks guys I'm glad this is over.

After this whole ordeal one would think the dealer would have called and told me that the pipes have shipped and they have a tracking number. They have not called.

When I had my 2009 Fatbob, I had the dealer put on the V&H propipe, SE Heavy Breather and dyno tune it with a SE Race Tuner. The night I picked it up, I was riding and my buddy told me I was shooting flames out of the pipe when I decelerate. I checked everything over and found that the tech didn't actually tighten the headpipe to the motor. The nuts were practically finger tight. I think the tech just test fitted it and forgot to secure those nuts. So after a few hours on the dyno, with the pipes on loose, nobody at the dealership caught it. I brought the bike back and they re-dynoed it. They actually told me if anything is messed up in the motor, they will take care of it.

So after posting in your head pipe thread... about never having a leak.... me and my bride take a ride to Virginia City... about 1 hour total to get there. 30 minutes of twisties...

So 45 minutes in... I hear what sounds like and exhaust leak... yes... over the exhaust and the audio....

It's getting worse.... and we get into VC and park..... guess what.... flange is barley hangin on the rear jug with ONE NUT... and it's flush with the stud!!! Head pipe unseated as well.... great....

Well I calm down and have a beer ( OR TWO) at the Red Dog Saloon and walk back out to the sled... I start looking.... and low and behold!!! The nut fell off and got caught under the harness!

Walked into the antique shop and borrowed a 1/2" socket, extension and ratchet and all is good in Spazz's World once again....

Over the years I learned to check the head pipe bolts on a regular basis. I replaced mine with 12 point aircraft nuts now- they don't move.

So yesterday I got a call from Badger HD saying I should stop by the dealership because my pipes where in but they had the wrong tips. Well I had to drop the seat off any how so I stopped over there My pipes where there and they had the right tip and they will be mounted this week.

While I was there I figured I would ask again how much for my header install. He says $989 because they won't allow the bike to leave unless they tune is with SEST wtf no thanks and I think I am about done with your dealerships

Gee Blue- Only $989? They're just trying to look out for you (and your wallet!). You made the right Decision I think.
