Local dealer says they have one of the cable harness and bluetooth modules in stock. Dang! So tempting! lol

The instructions are finally up on the Harley website. Looks easy enough to do except for the Dealer flash of course but there is a micro-USB wire that they want routed through the cable tray to right side panel under seat. Seems to be an access port to update the bluetooth profile if needed.

I wish they would make these things a little easier to install. I understand the Dealer flash as the existing radio would not know how to access the new module.

I want this but do I really want it so badly to go through the pain of the Dealer flash? Thinking........

$299 - ouch. But it is cheaper than buying the Sena Module and the wiring loom, and another different bluetooth module (I am using the PACTALK one already).

I'll press the button on the purchase after someone has proof it works - it says it has the right communications protocols but you know, never buy the initial batch.

A youtuber - Ryan Urlacher, did a good video about the reason why it doesn't work, how to make it work (with external hardware) but you do need the sena stuff.

If you do go decide to buy it soonish I'd update the boom audio system to the latest software otherwise they'd probably add that to the labor charge.

Keep us updated - I'll probably update mine in late October.

Ben

Edit - the $299 is for the module only, you still need a wiring loom.... $49

I find the wired connection the easiest. At the time of purchase only aftermarket non Harley bluetooth setups were possible. Had one of that system first. Just be aware that you have to charge your helmet bluetooth as well. Now just take my helmet, plug it in and ride. No need to check or charge any battery.
