I have a 2014 SG, I've recently purchased a boom box 6.5 GT which came out of a salvaged 14 SGS.

I'll be removing the stock 4.3 and replacing it with the 6.5GT.

I'm wondering if I'll encounter any "pairing with the bike issues" and will I have to go to HD to fix it?

Or will it be plug and play?

You shouldn't have any issues..all plug and play

Hopefully you got the GPS antenna to go with it.... that's another $60-70 if my memory serves correctly

He was correct, plug and play. The job took two hours to do. I probably could have done it in an hour but I had to do a couple of things twice because I got the reassembly order off. Plus it took a little extra time to figure out the speedo and tach had to come out to lift the unit out.
All and all it was an easy job.

If you don't mind, what did you pay for the unit? Ive seen 800 or more.

Remember, buying a GPS that's waterproof and works on a bike is about 800 anyway. But I paid 950 for this unit. I've seen a few for less but they're usually all scratched up. Right now, I'm happy- we'll see how I feel after I install the microphone interface and attach to the Sena.

Which mic interface are you using? I looked at those and it was only for the latest SENA stuff, not backwards compatible (got an older unit)
