The update file may or may not wipe your settings. I only had to reset my entire system for something unrelated, have never actually applied one of these updates to my 4.3.

As a software nerd, I can tell you this is the "catch all" for all of the other crap that was put in but they don't feel like listing. That way if the customer every says "This wasn't listed in the release notes!" we can say "it falls under the performance and stability section"
Radio with the new upgrade worked fine for a few days, took in for 1k service and now have problems. Came back to me the clock was wrong. Sometimes when I start the bike the radio is off and I can hit the power button and it won't turn on. Then all of the sudden 5 miles down the road it turns on again by itself. Looks like I have to go ask what they did to affect the radio.
Mine does something similar now. I am on the previous update. It will either turn on down the road finally or not shut off when I turn the bike off. I figured when I go to the dealer for my 5K I would just tell them it is goofed.
