Hi Guys, Brand new member here from So. California. Looking to purchase a 16' Street glide special in vivid black.
I have contacted several dealers in my area via email. If they will actually quote me a price over email ( which most won't) they want you to come down to the store, most prices I have gotten are all over the place. Any help here in what deals you guys have gotten or how to approach this would be appreciated !

Welcome to town imirsh1 from central Kansas, and SW Florida in the winter! Okay just my .02. I didn't find huge differences in price on my '14 FLHXS. Maybe 3-500 in differences. I did expect there to be more savings to be had. Look for dealer incentives those can be nice. I did however find a couple dealerships that would negotiate over accessories. So, yes, finding myself a nice price I was happy with and then accessories I feel I got the deal I wanted.
Good luck in your search! Regardless, you'll now be officially broke. LOL!

Bought mine from Simi Valley Harley good guys and always have a lot bikes in stock. 805-552-9555

imrsh1- We've never had a "brand new" member but just the same Welcome to SGF !

Where are you located??

Word on the street is that the new ownership at Huntington Beach Harley is making very aggressive deals........If you're no too far away from there it's probably worth the drive over. My friend who lives in Havasu and HB says the difference in the last 6 months is CRAZY......I recommend you give them a try!!

Welcome to the madness and let us know how it works out.

Welcome to the fun. Hope you find what you are looking for soon.

The word on the street is true, the same 2 brothers who bought Skip Fordyce and renamed it Riverside Harley also bought HB Harley, I have friends at both locations who tell me that the Veracka brothers are committed to being the biggest and the best in not only volume but customer service.
I've bought 2 bikes from them in the last 2 yrs. and am very happy with the way I was treated, and no I don't work there or get rewarded for my opinion.

Welcome in from Kentucky. I know when I bought mine I played 2 dealers against each other. The one I bought from made the better deal on bottom dollar even though it wasn't much better on the bike. They gave me better percentage off 1st run on parts, good percentage off extended warranty etc... In the end I saved 3,000 grand off the net total.

Probably getting away from the subject of welcoming new members here so I will keep this short
Yes I agree that getting a great deal on your bike in the beginning is paramount but I also believe that as long as one is happy with their local dealer keep going back to them whether it's for parts or service or bike night or the occasional bike wash and BBQ they will remember you and in my experience continue to treat you well and maybe throw you a bone now and then.
Have a great day everyone gotta go to work now.

Off topic mvrigger but I also agree.
I bought because of the great people at my HD dealer. I know these people, their kids names and many are good friends. There wasn't $800 difference between this dealer and any other in the region I could have bargained with.
I chose my friends and all the things they do for the community: like raising funds for Breast Cancer, Veterans and children's Christmas gifts. They have some great customer incentives, discounts customer parties and meals. When I walk in the place, everyone knows me by my first name. If there's any slack to be cut or a favor they could give-they consider me. That's worth much more to me than a few hundred bucks! I'm a lucky guy with a great Dealership.

Well said and I wholeheartedly agree, same here 1st name greeting and all...it makes a difference!

Welcome from Seal Beach, SoCal.

I bought mine from Lawless HD in Renton, Wa and I think I got a pretty good deal. Though I didn't exactly buy it 'new', it was still came with a new warranty. It came from their rental fleet and is a 2014. I probably got $10k off the price of a new one and it only had less than 8k miles. It still even had that "new smell" and they also threw in some goodies. Just a thought. I know HB HD doesn't rent bikes anymore but I do a lot of business with them and they've always treated me good. Good luck when you get your new ride and let me know if you need anything.....

Well i know its been a while but i finally got my new ride, a 2016 streetglide special. Such a nice bike!image.jpg
