I've been researching tuners on and off for a while and believe what others have said about the poor customer service at Superchips.
I sent a few emails that were never replied to and called over and over again to talk to the people that work in the HD section, but no one ever answered. I tried another extension and spoke to a guy in the Tech dept and he was not very Tech savvy when it came to their product and HD. I waited for over a week and began sending emails to their customer service dept and the next week to their parent company. The parent company never replied which tells me that if they don't care about customer service, the companies they own probably don't either. In my third week of communications I finally was able to communicate with someone and that took a few more days of emails to get a solid answer. it was very frustrating.
As it turns out, the Superchips Vigalante EZ Tuner is ONLY for basic canned maps that only account for installing aftermarkedt pipes and air breathers.
If you have cat-free ("free flowing") header pipes you can't use their tuner. Nor can you if you do any cams or engine mods. I never planed on that, but I do have cat-free headers so these clowns are not for me.
I would not suggest using Superchips for your HD or anything else for that matter unless you don't care about customer service and getting information from them.
I am presentably leaning toward the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3.
