Good morning. I installed a Harley CB, communication port, and PTT switch pack on my 2018 SG. Already had the Harley 32" antenna and relocation bracket. I am getting severe static so I used an swr meter and all channels were in the red. I tested the cable for continuity it was good. Tested the cable to the antenna stud, again tested good. I borrowed a new Harley antenna tried it and no difference, swr reading in the red.
I have read that I may need 18' of coax cable to offset the antenna, have bought it yet-cant find the 90 degree connector that screws into the antenna stud. I also grounded the antenna bracket to the frame---no difference.
I am hoping someone can steer me in the right diection on what to do next.
