Really not sure if this is new or I'm behind... As usual... But just received the clutch recall notice today. Just this weekend I tried to back the bike out of the garage ..in neutral by feel and N showing on dash with clutch out it behaved as if in first.. With clutch in same thing I ended up rocking it and the tranny seemed to free but still started as if in first. Perplexed I took it out for a short run and everything seemed normal.. Neutral was neutral as always. I did notice recently at the 500 mile mark the pressure on the clutch lessened considerably.. All this seems to jive with the recall info which is really a mute point as my vin is affected and listed.. Sorry if this is a repeat post

I received a clutch recall notice on my 15 SGS today also.

Although I've had no issues and about to break the 5000 mark, I'll be headed to the dealer for the fix tomorrow.

I'll get my 5000 mile service at my local wrench, just saying …

I received mine today too, I went by the dealership and they said they hope to have the parts in this week.

My dealership called me to tell me that mine was added to the recal list. Went in Saturday and had it completed along with 7500 mile service.

Add mine to the list of the clutch recall...
I never had any issues with recalls with any of my softails. Haven't had this SGS long and have had 2 already plus radio issues like everyone else. Is this bagger life?

I also got a letter yesterday and my SGS is showing the same symptoms Rhsra mentioned. I'm a little confused how the defective parts ended up on my bike though. Harley started this recall back in April 2015, but my bike wasn't manufactured until June 2015.

Same concern... My SGS was made in May... I see this with RV manufacturers a lot.. They buy container loads of parts at a time and use them regardless till they are gone unless the Gov steps in and says no. I'm not overly joyed about the issues but at the same time I'm happy HD does not fight them and gets the parts to dealers quickly. In the Rv biz.. It's the consumer who usually has to request the fix after notification then arrange with dealer to order ship and find an appointment to install fix.. Goes months at times.. That would severely PISS ME OFF... Hope to settle recall issues this week.. Put off a Planned trip to Tn because I didn't trust the clutch.. Being a New Rider.. Trust in the machine is important

Same here, my bike was made in June also…

As others have stated on other forums, now I have a new issue. Master cyl leaking around the seal.

Awesome, many times I've been told to leave well enough alone as I didn't have a issue with it to start with.

Either way the recall was done Tuesday September 1st and here's what I just noticed today on the 3rd.

Yea I can tighten it a bit, but I'm not. It's on them, even if I have paint problems later on.

I get the usual when I call, just bring it, (40 miles) we will take care of it.

Here's the pic

Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to remove the rear cylinder exhaust in order to access the clutch bleeder nipple when performing the clutch recall work? BTW, I have the V&H Dresser Duals on my scoot if that makes a difference.

Had mine "fixed" this past Saturday. The results were about as crappy as I had anticipated:
Three new scratches done by the tech and a leaky clutch master cylinder. Mine isn't as bad as your picture you attached, but the gasket is now constantly "wet".
I'm going to remove the cover, clean the gasket and cover, then reinstall to proper torque values. I'm betting that will fix the problem for me.

UPDATE: Looks like I might have a leak around the "new and improved" piston as well. I have "damp" areas forming all around the clutch lever. Not sure if the tech didn't clean up after himself and it's leftover DOT4 working its way out, or if the new piston is leaking. I've cleaned it all up, so hopefully it stays that way.

I'm trying to not get completely pissed off, but that plan isn't going so well.

I tightened up the cap a touch…very little. Keeping an eye on it but so far so good.

I will say the clutch lever has a little less pressure now, a plus, and engages in a different position which feels better to me.
