Anyone had any experience with putting a curved custom license plate holder on the 14 SGS? I bought one from JPC and can't find a way to install.

I just put one on. You need to reach up under the rear fender and you will find two nuts that when removed will release the rear light assembly which will allow you to remove the rear license plate assembly and install the curved one. The curved one looks great! However, on my NY plate it sort of cuts the first number off a bit. Hopefully this doesn't become a reason for the police to pull me over all the time.

Mf is correct.
Here is the curved lic plate on my 14.

Those nuts are a pain to remove but once done, easy. Took about 25 minutes from start to finish. One of my bolts is stripped from the factory so I had to get another one but no problem.

Hey, I noticed you have the 4 point docking hardware. I just installed it as well and also purchased the magnetic covers for it. Check it out in the P&A catalog, they look great on the bike.

Like he said - Jack the bike up and drop the wheel down some, it will make life much much easier as will a rachet box wrench.

Be very very carful and I find it helpful to have a helping hand to hold everything still so nothing scratches both puting on and taking off.

Ok I am feeling really dumb. The part you ordered goes where? I have one round black filler under the plate and two oval plates one for the antenna and one that just fills the fender.

Not sure what you are asking about - No additional plugs needed to install the curved plate holder. Are talking about the magnetic caps on the 4 point mounting dock?

No there is a picture of two cylinder looking chrome pieces. Was wondering where they go.

Those are the caps to go over the docking points

Man your going to think I am stupid but what docking points???

you may not have a Kit installed on your bike. I didn't have one I had the dealer add it. there are several bikes in my dealership that the dealer has already installed them.

I didn't look at the pictures on mine but you might be able to see it

So at the dealer I mentioned the curved license plate bracket and how weird it is that its all chrome but the 4 license plate bolts are stainless. Whoa parts guy comes out with 4 chrome bolts for the plate. Sweet. Have to cut them down a little but worth it.

. Just installed the Harley curved frame on mine. I had it on my 11SG, but removed it before trading it in. Luckily it fits.
