Dealer Service Ratings – In CT and Elsewhere (Around the World)

I will be getting my 1st service very soon …….

One of the big ticket issues for me is dealer service …. Specifically bike maintenance …. The stuff that goes on in the back of the shop …… Not the front door service in the sales and apparel departments …..

Being an MV Agusta F4 owner it has always been difficult in the service and maintenance area because MV dealers are few and far between and I have to settle for what's available .... And it always seems to take forever to obtain parts for Italian bikes ……

Harley dealerships however are many and close by. I live just north of New Haven, CT and there are 6 HD dealerships close by and 4 fairly close if I wanted to cruise to NY or Long Island …..

The internet has made things fairly easy (to some degree) in finding available information about dealers and, more importantly for me, ratings about their service departments …..

Now, I dropped a seriously big dime when I purchased this bike and all its accouterments (the same with my MV) and I want to know that the doctor I’m taking her to is reputable ….. I searched around for a great doctor, dentist, etc. …. And I’m doing the same here for my SGS …….

So …….

I DO NOT want to start a nuclear firestorm thread here with people making negative comments about dealer service departments as I’m sure these service guys & gals most likely also drive HD’s and probably frequent this and other forums ….

Any bikers in CT (or elsewhere) have positive “I swear by this dealer’s service department” recommendations?

Again, try and stay away from the .... "I wouldn't go back to those F@#cking R@t B@st@ards if they paid me to service my bike" comments ...
