I'm going to Death Valley in first week of Oct. I know few POI's can be seen on a motorcycle and there are few that you need 4 wheels to get to. I'll be there for 3 days. Plan on renting a car for 2 days. Trying to figure out POI that are accessible riding and ones that I'll need a car. Thank you.

I was there last January and rented bikes out of Las Vegas for the day. Gorgeous ride through the passes to get to the valley. Took 160 west out of Vegas to Parump and then 372/178 into CA, thru Shohone and then north into the valley. Gotta stop at Badwater Basin. A bit further north take Artists Drive to see the Palette. If the road is open. Coming out of the valley and headed back east, take the road up to Dantes view. It is amazing once you get up there. You are about a mile directly above Badwater Basin. We then continued are loop east on 190/state line road into Pahrump and back to Vegas. 310 miles.
Might be a bit warm in the summer. When I went it was about 40 in the passes in the morning and then 65 in the valley. Sunny all day. Typical fall riding conditions here in WI.
