I have an ‘18 SGS with Kicker 6.5’s in front upper and lower, Kicker 3/4” tweeters where the stock mirrors were, 8” Hertz and 1” ST25 tweeters in the lids. All powered by a 4 channel Menace Audio Amp. Local installer says I would have to change my amp before installing a DSP. Also said he doesn’t think they are worth the trouble unless you are in sound competitions. My set up is plenty loud and clear. I don’t have a problem with my stereo but if it could be better I’m all for it. More bass would be welcomed.

Dsp's can be tricky and challenging if you are not savvy with audio. They have many benefits. Control the output for a more consistant signal. Digital crossover points for front AND rear...digital fade control... separate digital frequency controls for lows mids and highs.

Not all DSP'S are equal across the board. The nice thing is with everything being controlled within the DSP, the amp is run at full range (no filters) and can perform at its best.

When I do systems, DSP'S are only required for CVO'S due to throwing codes... but i highly recommend them for better performance and fine-tuning of the system. Our DSP'S are pre-tuned for optimum performance for YOUR specific bike and system when purchased. Yes.. you can hear the difference of two identical bikes and systems.. one with a DSP and one without.
