So I needed to replace my front brake pads so I got ebc semi sintered pads. I know they need to get bedded to they function and last a long time. Ive read that I need to be easy for 200 miles per the end website. But ive read elsewhere that after 200 miles I need to put a few heat cycles in to finish them. Is this correct?

Excuse my ignorance but what is getting the pads bedded mean?? I've never heat cycled pads, I have always just slapped them on road like usual and they have always seemed to work just fine.

I've never read the instructions (that's like asking for directions!) but my dad always rode the brakes for a few miles after changing brakes. Followed by a few hard stops in quiet areas to make sure they didn't pull. His reasoning was to grind them in to match the rotors before actually needing them.

Bedding in brakes is just getting the new pads to mate with your rotors and getting them to where they contact the rotor evenly

Gotcha! I had a vine bed into my rear brake pads yesterday during a harescramble race on my last lap, cost me 2 positions after stopping digging them out for 10 minutes.
