So I started Ordering my new/used parts of my engine build. I have been researching different builds and its down to a 117 or a 120 big bore kit. the bottom end is going to T-Man for new rods, welded crank, case boring, and Timken upgrade. as for the piston/cylinder I have a set of used 117 cylinders I picked up for a good price. I spoke with one of the cylinder manufactures and he said he wanted to build a 120 all bore stock stroke engine. that I could bore out my cylinders that I order (his brand) to 4 3/16 or 4.1875 and he would personally cut me a set of pistons to get my compression to where I want it . I shooting for 9 to 1 and plan on running 14 lbs of boost. He is confident that his cylinders will hold up to the abuse . to top it off I have picked up a used set of cnc mva heads and dropped them off at my buddies shop to be checked out and a little polishing. I hadn't picked a cam yet but looking into the ss640. I am also looking into the HPI throttle bodies , maybe a set of roller rockers. the stock stroke, longer piston skirt and thicker piston top (a custom design by the cylinder manufacturer ) should yield a 120 that last and not beat it self to death. we will see. my goal is to break the 200hp mark. I think I can get about 130/130 hp/tq just off motor and pull the rest out with the turbo. should be more along the lines of 250-260 hp with 14lbs boost but will be happy with 200 LOL.

Nice, sounds like a good track setup, any concerns for oil quantity and crank case pressure?

Keep us posted on your build I can't wait to see how this monster runs.

Right on! I'll be paying close attention to your build and can't wait to hear the end result. Good luck with it!
