I'll give a definite thumbs up for getting the lower fairings as well. They seem to actually help in guiding the air towards the engine a bit, and they certainly keep the air from pushing my feet off the footboards. If my toes get a little warm behind them, I just plant my boots out on the highway pegs and it's all good. I don't have any plans on removing them any time soon, heat or not. Plus they look great on the bike as well
