I couldn't believe how easy it was to pop it in, update the phone app, and get the initial programming done. Simply amazing.

The first thing I noticed was a huge decrease in decel pop. It is not gone, but at least 90% gone. I plan on running at least the rest of the tank of gas (currently 1/2 full) before I decide to do the auto tune and dial this guy in.

The second thing I noticed, and keep in mind that I am a new rider, is that when I let off the throttle I do not suddenly lurch forward. It is very much like taking your foot off of the gas pedal in your car.

I do plan on going back and reading more threads on the auto tune process before attempting it. I am still fuzzy on flash vs apply. I understand the difference but not why you would ever take it off of your "learning" mode.

As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will add that to a thread.

Yegg, there is a ton of tuner info here at SGF. Spazz is a master FP3 tuner. Enjoy!

In learning mode the FP3 runs the bike a little out of tune, searching for the optimal settings. If you always run in that mode it will never be the best it can be 😎

Ah ha! Thanks for that clarification. That makes sense.

There is a decel pop adjustment you can pay with....

If you never finish the auto tune, the program won't let you play with other adjustments like speedo calibrator.

I ran a bit with the suggested map and still had a slight pop on deceleration. I made the adjustment and flashed the map. I quick ride out, around, and back into the neighborhood confirmed the pop is gone. I am quite impressed. Now I just need some kind of manual to learn about the seemingly endless other possible adjustments!

I like the fact that you can run auto tune though and apply the settings without finishing and it will keep learning and you can keep applying infinitely!
