Freedom Shields Rocks

First of all, I do not work nor affiliated with Freedom Shields!! John is an awesome dude!! I have read rave reviews about Freedom but today just took the cake!! My 7" shade arrived today and the quality was superb, polished edges and very heavy duty! However, "I" cracked the damn shield upon installing and called to order another....John offered to send me out another and I insisted that it was totally my fault...cracked just above the outside screw!! He said that since he saw that I had just received it today and there could be a slight possibility of a weak spot at the screw location, however, very rare, he would send me out a new one!!! I was so upset with myself and just couldn't live with a 2" crack, but I was surely honest in that I felt to be the culprit in this accident!!
I just couldn't help but to share this extraordinary customer service!!

These guys sound like a class outfit. I just bought a clear view and they sent me the wrong year after waiting for over a month for them to make it. Wanted to charge me for another shield if they sent the right one before they received the first wrong one back. Almost told them to just give me my money back but they said they would overnight one after I talked to a supervisor. I was getting ready to leave for Sturgis so I needed to test it before I left. They tell you when you order 15 to 20 days wait time but they had one ready for their trip to Sturgis. After it got here put it on and tried it. Liked it better then the 10 inch wind splitter I had on. I like the shield and will continue to use it.

I also bought the 7" in dark tint. I had a bit of trouble lining it up with the stock fasteners.. After a call to Freedom Shield and 30 minutes of Face Time "Tech Support" with John I was able to convince the poorly placed stock anchors to play nice. John said he had seen this before and requested I call him on his cell with FaceTime so he could see if they needed to make me another Shield with offset holes to work with my situation.. On their dime!! I call that just plain Awesome Customer Service. I'm old enough to remember when going the extra mile was the norm in business. Happy it's not completely Extinct!! I have since turned 3 others to Freedom Shield and will continue to do so.
One of the biggest issues turned out the center screw is just not long enough to get a good bite with the thicker shield. I had to put the end screws in at a 45 degree angle to catch and gently force them straight to tighten.. Was a Huge Pain in the ......
Since installing I have next to no buffeting and rain is diverted over my head. I Love this Product and highly recommend it.
BTW.. I am 6 ' 34" inseam. The 7 works great for me.. The dark tint looks killer w/charcoal pearl and does not interfere with my vision at all.. No distortion looking thru screen if I choose to.

Freedom Shields Rocks

I just installed the 9" and it works great. Had the same problem with the screws. Luckily a buddy of mine had a rethreading tool

Got the 9" light tint off Ebay ....PO lost it and they overnights one no questions asked ...John great this had blemish or fiber in glass one they sell cheap...have yet to find it. Great product and great service

Just installed my 7" shield this week. Love it!!

I installed the 8" on mine and love it also. I had the same problem with the screws, I ended up leaving the screws on the ends in place and slipped the windshield into the gap.

I have the 11" medium tint on mine and love it! Great customer service and received mine in two days.

Went with the 7" dark, and it's perfect with the standard SG seat. Also got a 9" light tint for the long trips when I put on the Ultra seat which sits you up a bit higher - like having 2 bikes in one!
Some minor fitting issues, but resolved to my satisfaction after communicating with John.
Top product, old school customer service. Recommended!

I just ordered a 8" dark gray Freedom Shield yesterday for my street glide and I am anxious to install it on my bike. I have driven softails up until I bought my 2009 street glide about a month ago.

I absolutely love the bike, but the stock windshield is terrible and I hope the new one will fix the problem.

I have the same 8" dark gray Freedom Shield on my 15 Street Glide, makes a world of a difference; a great windshield / upgrade
