Fullsac Exhaust System Install

I drop my baby off 4/17/15 to have s Screaming Eagle Super Turner and Fullsac DX installed. My 103 already has a Stage 1 intake & Screaming Eagle exhaust upgrade. So will I notice a difference in sound and or power? The techs tell me the bike will be, "wide awake" after they get it all done.

In a word yes. But keep in mind the improvement comes at power levels above what the bike made before. So, if you were not turning the throttle wide open before, you do not know how much power you had.

Well......this project did not end up as planned. The bike ran great but I could not get an exhaust note that I liked while riding that was as pleasing as the SE Street Cannons I had on the bike with the catted stock head pipe. So, the Fullsac system is off the bike. No a very logical decision but an emotional one. The sound of the bike turned out to be more important to me for the full "H-D experience" than I imagined. I tried a number of combinations to get there with the Fullsac head pipe including the stock mufflers.

I should say I am judging the sound while riding and wearing a full coverage Arai helmet plus earplugs. This is what I will hear for hundreds of hours while riding the bike.

Since everybody has a different perception and opinion and preference for "the Harley sound" your results will vary, as can be seen by the endless assortment of exhaust systems and components available. Good luck in your quest for the ideal exhaust note. I'm lucky, as I have found it for me.

I would have to agree with you on the way the SE Street cannons sound I have been kicking around the idea of installing a new head pipe to get rid of the stock cat and add some extra power but I'm not sure it's worth the money and the change I'm sure I will get in the exhaust note because I love the way the bike sounds now with just the SE street cannons installed to me they strike a perfect balance loud enough to sound great but not so loud as to become annoying
I wear a half helmet most of the time now and no ear plugs so I really don't want the bike much louder then it is now

One 2-1-2 headpipe that I have been looking at that seems interesting is the Cobra power port pipe it is different then the Fullsac, jackpot & V&H that all use an X pipe design the Cobra is more of an H pipe design I know from the automotive exhaust side the H and X pipes sound different from each other

I got rid of the cat with a Fuel Moto 2-1-2 head pipe but did not like the exhaust sound with the stock SGS mufflers. A set of stock CVO mufflers made a change I'm happy with.

Yes, an H-pipe is a little different , however, the SE Street Cannons are at their best for both performance and sound with the Cat in place. Put on a hi-flow intake or air filter upgrade and the SE Street tuner will make the bike run great. I started a separate post on the SE Street tuner.

My bike runs great and I have not done any auto-tuning, I just loaded the Factory Stage 1 tune which was developed on a dyno for H-D components. The ECM does the fine tuning automatically with what are called short and long term fuel trims. That is how it adapts to changing conditions of temperature, altitude, and manufacturing tolerances.

With the cat in place we are leaving a couple HP on the table and some people notice the heat. I've never noticed the heat and I don't notice a power loss comparing catless to a Stage-1 with the stock head pipe.

Hulkss, I can respect that, I am glad I read and listened to forum members and my local Dealer mechanic when he suggested de-catting the bike with the Fullsac system and using the Super Pro Tuner. That bike is a different animal and much more pleasant to ride, but I have noticed that since I started riding a few years ago, that the relationship between a man and his bike is literally a deep relationship.

just did a Fullsac sport pipe and a muffler recore on my 13SG sounds awesome. ITS tts tuned with H-D HEAVY BREATHER. Great combination imho. and for $500 bucks i'll never comlain. Steve and the guys at Fullsac have got it tohether for sure!!

I want to add,,I did the fullsac full tilt(dx head pipe, CVO recored 1.75 mufflers, stealth AC, and the TTs tuner) to my 2015 SGS and wow, love the sound, love the power..i just have to change the stock AC cover..it just doesn't look right to me now.

Great, great information! Can you tell me if you know the diameter of the Fulsac screens? I know yours are 3" for the stock CVO mufflers. What I'm trying to do is the same thing, except I have the V&H OS 450's that are 4.5 diameter. The gentleman at Fulsac said that the CVO screens wouldn't work due to my outside diameter. My baffle in the V&H's are 2.5 full length baffles. From the factory, they are completely wrapped in packing material. I totally understand what you are saying about the "gap" between the actual baffle and the material. Seems like it would perform and sound much better instead of having the material wrapped around the baffle. Any thoughts?

I like my full system (described below) but it's too loud to suit me.

I did the fullsac DX head pipe, Fullsac CVO 1.75 mufflers cores, Fuel Moto A/C, V&H FP-3 and the bike runs great. The sound is great but, a little quiet for my taste. I may still change to the 2" cores yet.
Any one have 2" Fullsac cores and think there too loud?

I had the 1.75" cores and added the 2" but I though they were a little loud. I went back to 1.75" If you want the 2" send me a PM and I'll sell you mine.

Last year i had installed the Supertrapp Stouts on my ride with the stock headers. Liked the sound but always thought something was missing. During the winter I had the Fullsac headers installed and kept my Supertrapp's on. With the decated Fullsac on the sound turned out to be awesome. Its a nice low and deep sound. You can defiantly feel the concussion of the air if you stand behind the bike. Everyone that had rode with me last year can defiantly hear the difference and ask what pipes i have on. My reply is the same as last year and i just changed the headers to a decated Fullsac. Others now are considering the same set up. I am very please with the sound and i wear a 3/4 helmut with earplugs on my long rides. But like you said Hulkss everyone has a different sound they are looking for. I just got lucky and got mine right away.

Fullsac DX & 4in Rinehart's! Great sound. You can definitely hear it but also hear the radio at cruise.

I don't know how to compare to the video. Go search here, lots of discussion and video links: cvoharley.com

2016 street glide 103. Added screaming eagle hi flow exhaust - 2 inch o.d header pipe no cat. Screaming eagle street canon with cats relocated in mufflers. Screaming Eg pro tuner. Screaming eagle stage one intake.

Problems- to quite and pop on deceleration here and there.

Good numbers on dyno but dyno also said running lean.

Harley dealers can not tune it recommended to other shop for dyno tune. $425.00.

What would you do or consider the best option ( money not issue )

1- scrap SE exhaust go with other ( which one and type) ?
2- scrap tuner for one that learns ? Which one ?
3- cut out cats from muff weld and try to tune with SE or other tuner ?

Could try to resell whole system on e bay
Could not find slip on's with 2" od for header
Might be able to find slip on's and open up to 2" if split weld.

Any input thanks

SE high flow Exhaust is designed for 110's and bigger... you will not get a good tune with that pipe from any tuner...it's too big for your 103. My advice... sell it and run something more suited for the 103... V/H Powerduals and V/H high outputs are a very good combo.

There is NO Slipons that will fit the SE header... you must sell as a complete system

I had the same exhaust you have on my 120ST and sold it.
