Today was actually a really warm day compared to what it's been, but I've still been out on the bike nearly every day, even when it's colder. Some days I gotta bundle up my face pretty good, but I'm not gonna turn down any excuse to ride.Oh man! Now that's CRUEL ! ! ! !
(Plus it's a hell of a lot cheaper to run than the truck.)

LOL!! I ride when I can... 20's and up.... Just like TomA does just a few hours from me. It has been unusually warm here the last few days....like right now.. ( 3:30 am) 48 outside!!! WTF!?!!?
Joker and I rode yesterday a bit.. not too long... he is working nights for the next month. It was nice to get out and blow the dust off.....

Took off yesterday morning rode up to the small town of San Louis Obispo checked into the Madonna Inn and continued to the Hearst castle. Rode back home down the PCH and took the 126 from Ventura to Lancaster. Everything was going perfect until a yellow jacket hit my left check and slide right into my left ear then stung it.
Holy crap did that hurt now my ear is 3 times bigger than it was this morning. Other than that a nice 425 mile ride and look what we had to ride next to for a few hours.

Actually they spray a liquid de-icer on the roads in the city of Reno/Sparks... sand near Tahoe and Truckee
Yah they spray salt brine and beet juice on the roads here along with sand and salt.

Here they use salted sand and in certain areas they use mag chloride on the off and on ramps. Pretty nasty stuff but it melts the snow pretty good. We use the stuff for dust suppressant on our dirt access roads. Packs down hard almost like asphalt until it gets wet then its pretty slick.
