H-D Solo Tour Pack mounting kit with a Danny Gray Speed Cradle

Hi there,

I just picked up the H-D tour pack mounting kit for a solo setup to use with a Danny Gray Speed Cradle solo seat. I noticed that the mount plate sits right up snug on the backside of the Speed Cradle seat. I don't like how it sits that close to the seat. Has anyone found a better solution for mounting a tour pack?

Apparently the person who owned the seat before me (although it was supposed to be brand new) must have tried this same set up. The seat had an indentation on it when I took it out of the box.

I'd appreciate any input you have on this. I want to go w/ the solo set up, but I don't want to ruin the seat w/ this setup either.

Anyone running the H-D solo tour pack mounting rack? Are there any other options available that might not be so snug against the seat?

I don't have a tourpack, but have you looked at the adjustable, sliding racks from eglide goodies?

I did but I can't justify the money they want for an adjustable rack.
