HD Security Systems Pager Reciever II...help...

Recently just purchased the HD Security Systems Pager Reciever II from local delaership.
My gf and I spent two days trying to get pager in sync,but unsuccessful.
Followed the instructions to the letter. Pager is charged and fob has battery that came installed new. Bike is 2012 SG and had the original first step flashing alarm on it when I bought bike last September. I recently purchased the HD audible alarm. Plug n play...works...no problems.
...but this pager...just cant get synced. Got it to turn on,vibrate and all the blinky leds. When we go through the instructions to "set" the pager,we go step by step. Which isnt much. Ill have gf walk across street with bike ignition fob,pager and pager fob. Ill move bike till alarms starts chirping. Gf is very certain pager is not blinking,flashing or vibrating.
Are we missing something?
Has anyone else had this issue?
My gf said she looked up some reviews where most people,even dealer techs can not get it set either.
Im wondering if I should waste a day at dealership or just ask for a refund.
Any help would be appreciated.

There is two different alarms did you make sure your alarm is compatible with a pager, I know mine is not, if you have an antenna on your alarm you have the correct one for a pager.

Yeah...my audible I just purchased has antenna and when I picked that up at dealership I ordered the pager. Counter dude,made sure he ordered correct pager that goes with alarm.
I was told today from a friend that has exact same set up that the rechargeable battery in pager has been known to be bad. Said dealership should replace pager at no cost,so I'm headed to dealership this Friday to see what's really going on.
