Headlight Help - HD LED Daymaker vs. Kuryakyn Phase 7

Has anyone tried both lights? What's your experience? trying to decide what to buy. I am waiting on my 2015 SG.

The daymaker is made by JW Speaker Co, the Kuryakyn is made by Trucklite. Somewhere on this forum is a great write up on both, pro's and con's. Or maybe its a link that I'm thinking of to a great write up. If I can find it I will post it for you.

What ever you choose, the prices on LED head lights has really dropped in the past year as competition has grown.

I have looked at both for quite some time, and selected the JW Speaker Evo 2. LED lights are very directional, and many reviews talk about how they lose the light in front of them while cornering because as the bike leans, so does the light. This is a LED issue, not a brand issue. The JW Speaker Evolution 2 lights seem to have a small amount of additional "halo" light around the main light beam, which may help with light drop off problem. The original Evolution and the Phase 7 do not have this. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the fun jmillner. There is a post from Hulkss on the JW speaker light and it has several links to information about different lights. I see he has given a link a couple posts below. I'm not fan of the HID because I tried one and had issues keeping it lit while riding.
