Heads Up 21" Reinforcer Front Wheel sold by Eastern Performance Cycle BAD EXPERIENCE

I purchased the 21 inch reinforcer wheel from Eastern Performance Cycles to put on my 2012 Street Glide. Multiple manufacture's defects regarding the wheel, DO NOT RECOMMEND, STAY AWAY!!. See attached image, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

No, partial refund, total cost was $1700, they gave me back $1200, plus I lost the whole summer of riding due to having to deal with this issue. Even with the proof of letter from Harley they would not acknowledge that the wheel was defective. Bad business!

I bet Harley screwed it up. First, That wheel came from Sport Chrome. Second, Cody and those guys at eastern are stand up guys.Third, You let those monkeys at the dealership put on the wheel. And that letter is bull. Your just taking the word of that dealership. Do a little investigating first. My buddy bought his bike to Harley for tires and they bent the rim and broke it. It took a wile for Harley to admit they did the damage.

Here's some things to check.
1 Was the tire all ready mounted on the rim? If if was.We that can eliminate that.If it was'nt Tire mounting was done wrong on tire machine.
2 Was the wheel chrome.?Why I ask Because they had to install the wheel bearings. And screwed that up.
3 Put the wheel on a truing stand and see If its bent.

Don't always take the word of the stealer

Hey doc. Sounds like your one of those guys that thinks the motor company is always out to get you. WISE UP Wheel came fully assembled from EASTERN PERFORMANCE . Rim tire rotors bearings.

I bought my 21" wheel from Sport Chrome and had my local shop install it.....works and mounted perfect and bike look awesome....sorry you had to go through this but if the wheel is from Sport Chrome they are good.....wow....how much did you pay? I spend way under $1k for my setup, wheel/tire/install...kit includes all the parts necessary from Sport Chrome, tire mounted and balanced directly from them.

You were lucky and that's great. But to all who are thinking about custom wheels . the reinforce 21 is manufactured in china using a cast system. major wheel manufactures in the U.S. cut wheels from a block of billet aluminum using a CNC machine . This type of build produces a premium wheel. THATS THE WAY TO GO .

What kind of vendor asks for a restocking fee when the product is defective in manufacturing. No one that you want to do business with.

Wow- that sucks! You say there were "multiple defects"? What were they, aside from the rotor mounting surfaces not being even?

The rotors warped when bolted to the irregular mounting surface of the wheel causing the vibration in the front end when braking. The side wall of the rim was not flat there were high and low spots. Chroming was weak, grinding wheel swirls were not removed before chroming.

That sucks big time. Can't believe they wouldn't give You a FULL refund on Your purchase. Big BS there.

This wheel problem was simple and very easy to understand 21 Reinforcer wheel installed VIBRATION . OEM wheel put back on bike and no vibration. The service manager at the H.D. dealer made it clear and easy to understand like you said big BS there.

Just the headache alone makes it not worth the hassle. Not trying to stick my nose in someone else's business but I do appreciate when someone gives a heads up on a negative experience so others don't have to go thru it. Good looking out.

Is that wheel really made in China? I assume We're talking about the same Reinforcer wheel that is sold through Sport Chrome in Cali?

I do not know what SPORT CHROME sells . To say that SPORT CHROME sells the same wheel as mine would be wrong and unfounded. My concern is with eastern performance cycle and the way they handled the problem with the wheel they sold me.
