Heavy Breather intake noise

Hey guys, just recently installed a SE heavy breather on my 2014 street glide and it's kinda caught me off guard at how loud it is. I had a similar figure machine air cleaner on my sportster years ago and was used to hearing it pull air but this is completely different. All I can compare it to is a vacuum pump. At around 2500 rpm it's very prevalent and occasionally you can catch it at idle. I realize the tube amplifies sound but I'm curious if you guys are having this issue with the regular round style air cleaner? It really bugs me and if another style will get rid of that sound I'll make the switch but I hate to spend another $300 to be in the same boat.

I have the high flow unit from FuelMoto as do others here on SGF. Very quiet and efficient. About $150 at www.fuelmotousa.com

I installed the same SE A/C on my 2015 but went with the stock cover to disguise the mod.
Cant really say I hear the intake over the pipes.

I have the roland sands clarity air cleaner, granted mine is an exposed filter. But I can hear mine, but I'm thinking of getting a forward facing air cleaner. Give my long legs more room.

My stock enclosure with a K&N element is as quiet as stock which is quieter than all those mentioned above.

The crappy thing is my dads 08 with the same air cleaner, I don't recall having the same issue in the 500 miles I put on it. My last resort will be the V&H VO2 naked air cleaner with a stock cover but I'm really on the fence about trying the Figure Machine vision. Just hate to spend that much money to get the same result. I'm also a little wary about the cover getting scratches in it over time.

I have the V&H grenade air cleaner and I hear the same noise as you do. My buddy I ride with all the time has the stock filter and no noise, I never noticed it with the stock unit.
