Hi everyone, pleasure to be part of the family!

I recently bought a 2017 Street Glide Special. It runs great, is super clean, and has plenty of upgrades. All good, I tried it and I handed the seller the cash and started riding home, but as soon I arrived home I noticed oil starting to come out. Not a huge amount—there are no puddles or leaks on the ground—but enough to catch my attention.

When I got home, I found what you see in the picture, along with some oil splashed on the left saddlebag.

Tomorrow I'm taking it to a friend to have it checked out, but I'd also like to learn more about this great engine myself. Any ideas on where I should start looking?

A late welcome to the forum from Michigan.

First place to learn about your bike is any paperwork from the previous owner. Did they include any with it? Can always attempt to speak with them about the bike. Finally a dealership or local indy with the proper equipment should be able to check the ECU for tune software version to see what, if any, may have stage of enhancement has been done.

That oil leak looks to be coming from the return line at the clamp. Your photo is showing the clamp at the very end of the line, not providing proper clamping of the whole circumference.
