I've been reading up on stereo upgrades for my bike for awhile now. I'm trying to make sure a get a decent upgrade for a limited budget. I've emailed soundzcustomz at least twice maybe even 3 times. No response from them at all. The biketronics and j&m are way outta my price range. So I started checking out hogtunes. Not a lot of great reviews from them, but then again it is the Internet lol Anyways I keep reading that their amps kept cutting out but the speakers were decent. So I emailed them asking about the amp clipping issue, thinking they'd be like the other few venders and not reply back. Well they did the very next day. Here's what they said:

"Good morning Chris,

We have fixed that issue, There are still some of those amplifiers from drag that may still be for sale the only way to guarantee that you get the amp with the clipping issue solved is to buy direct from Hogtunes., It will be completely plug and play."

So now I'm back to square one still lol anyone have a hogtunes set up with any opinions?

Call Peter direct at Soundz... he may be at a Rally, vacation etc. FYI... Soundz is NOT cheap by any means. I have the Level IV and worth every penny.

Remember... you get what you pay for.... food for thought.

Yea I know what you mean... But being on a budget makes it harder to get some of the goodies I'd love to get for the bike lol

I'm with Spazz. My level 4 from Soundz is less than a month old and I feel like it was worth every penny I spent! I am pretty sure they are out of Sioux Falls right now and the best bet is to call. Well worth your time!

I have a whole hogtunes setup removed from a '15. I switched to Rockford Fosgate setup and replaced the head unit. No idea what it's worth. Maybe 50% of new. It's about a year old. Worked when removed and sounded about like every other system running an amp on the HD head unit. I came to the conclusion that if I was going to truly good quality sound, I was going to have to lose the HD head unit.

Sometimes it's best to set your mind to something ( regardless of price) and make it happen... even if you must wait a few months to save. All too often we hear of people buying 2 and 3 times before finally getting what they REALLY wanted in the first place... which costs a hell of a lot more in the long run

I've been saving up for other parts but it seems like every time I start this some crap happens and the stereo money pays for it lmao I know I'm not the only person that has that problem... Well I don't think so anyways

I'm with Spazz on this save your money and get the best first even if it takes a little longer. Thought I would only need fairing speakers and the smaller amp from Soundz but I later traded the 125 for the moto 600.4 and bag speakers. Thinking back now after running with just the fairing speakers that's all you really need unless you have a passenger. You really loose the rears after about 50 mph.
