Removed the ignition switch in order to add an accessory switch, etc. Now I can't seem to get it back in.

I'm thinking that your forks should be in the locked position to reinstall the switch. There is an alignment tool but I don't think that you will need it.

When you remove the ignition switch... either have it in the locked position or if not.... Don't move forks at all once you remove it... it will mess up the tumblers inside if you move forks to locked position AFTER you remove the ignition.

You will have to use a small flat blade screwdriver and look down in the tumblers and manipulate them in order to re-install it

What Spazz said - whatever position you remove it from, you should mark on both the stem and the fairing as well as the ignition so that they are all 3 lined up when you go to put it back on. I have heard it is a real bitch to put back, a lot of trial and error moving the pins back to match.

Good luck man -

Ignition switch help.

Fixed.
Turned fork all the way left, and with little hand made tiny 'J' with a coat hanger, manipulated the bottom-most tumbler to lock the fork. Then using a flat screw driver rotated the upper tumbler counter-clockwise and got them both lined up. Ignition slipped right in ..... whew.
