Installed Mustang Super Touring on my SGS

As I had previously posted my hips and back were killing me. Many suggested a new seat. Well I got a Mustang Super touring Vintage One Piece Seat.

Installation was simple and easy. Couple of observations:

1. The seat is WIDE, which I appreciate since I'm a big guy
( 6'5 260 ) and helps spread out my weight and increase
comfort.
2. The seat sets you back 1.75 inches. I wasn't sure that
small a difference would make an impact but it definitely
took the stress out of my hips and a bit off my back.
3. The seat comes with a back rest that made an amazing
impact on comfort and pain reduction on my back!
4. The only negative is the gaping hole it left in my wallet
Paid $670 shipped from Revzilla (but got $30 zilla bucks)

They do make a difference in how long you stay in the saddle for sure. Sounds like you made a good choice and keep us posted on the comfort level. Usually takes a 1000 or so miles to break one in to fit you but it sounds like this one was instant relief.

How adjustable is the backrest? I've been looking into this model and want to make sure I can make it comfortable.

I purchased the mustang super touring seat. It is much bigger and more cushion. The wife loves it. I'm up in the air yet. I haven't had a chance to take it on a long run yet. It makes me sit higher and a little farther back. Which makes legs more comfortable. But makes the room for my wife smaller. So it makes me adjust my backrest more upright than I would prefer. Eh, we'll see how I t goes.

In the mustang instruction it says you can adjust the passenger backrest back farther, am I missing something? Mine doesn't like it can be adjusted since the front attaches to the shock mount.
