K&N cleaner with no re-tune?

Have a '15 FLHXS, standard intake, no retunes, no re-maps. All stock (except for V&H slip ons). Am I good to add a K&N air filter (in the stock air box) with no retuning or remapping? Or will this require some air/fuel mix tweaking?

I did the same with my 15 and it ran fine. It did run much better when I added my FP3 though.

If you are moving up from OEM to K&N then you just need to change the setting using tuner depending on which tuner you are using. You'll have more air flowing through so yes, fuel mixture needs to be tweaked. Not much different unless you are changing throttle body to larger then you probably are doing more engine work which means you'll need to get a good Dyno tune.

My bike did not run ANY different after adding a K&N in the stock air filter box with only slip-ons. It will run just fine as is but definitely better with a retune, retune is not necessary with your current stock set up.

Don't think you need a retune but the bike will act different for about a tank of fuel until the ECM adjusts. If you change out the head pipe then yes get it tuned.
