Kind of confused with the FP3.

I went ahead and bought the FP3 since I also bought a Screaming Eagle high flow air cleaner also. I'm running Rinehart 4 inch slip-on's. I guess I thought from all the good things I was told it could do that it would have other brand mufflers on there along with a selection of air cleaners, but found out it didn't which was no real surprise. I flashed a map using generic 2-1-2 pipes. Raining today so I can't get it out to test it out but I did start it up. Sounds ok, but since I was on the forum, I though I would ask you guys that have one that has Rinehart mufflers if I did the right thing. Kind of new to this, but I wasn't going to pay the local dealer $200 just for them to flash their HD map. I'll be saving money after I get the FP3 figured out. Anybody out there that can help?

2015 Street Glide.

Email Vance and Hines tech support. Tell them your setup and they will tell you what to run. They have great customer service in my experience.

^^This. Their phone number is in the app as well just call em. They will give you a base map to match your set up. Run it for a little while to see how it does. Then run an auto tune based on the map they gave you and you should be solid. The auto tune may not even be necessary.

Another great thing about the fp3 is if you are having serious troubles you can upload your current map to VH, give them a call and they will go thru the map make any necessary adjustments and then download the new map back to your phone to load onto the bike.

I e-mailed Vance and Hines and they told me to use their slash cut rounds from the selection with standard baffle and up the throttle to moderate. This seemed to do the job. I'll still auto tune it when I can, but for now this will work with no problems. The Harley dealer parts man told me the rep that came in to explain how things worked on the FP3 said it had all the latest manufacturers mufflers on there, but they don't. I guess the rep was trying to convince the dealer to buy them to sell. I would have probably bought it anyway since there was no way I was going to give the dealer $200 for a 10 minute job to flash a map. That's a rip off. But I'm glad I bought the FP3 after finding out all I can do with it. Thanks for the help.

I'm very pleased with V&H, I was thinking about doing a stage IV upgrade. The upgrade requires a download. So I called tech support to ask about replacing the stock download in my FP3. I was told there wasn't an easy way, but if I sent it in they would clear it so I could replace the base map.

Base map: Twin Slash Rounds w/Power Duals. I really enjoy the sound of the 4"Rhineharts. I ran the Auto Tune with decatted head pipe which worked best. But after changing to Fulsac head pipe. The base tune did better without the auto tune.

I don't want to burst your bubble... but the FP3 may not be able to tune a modified motor. i was on the phone with V/H for quite a while asking about my 120ST motor... there was no DEFINITE answer of YES... I got the 'well... you can autotune and try it...' They were willing to try and help as much as they could.. but I wasn't about to buy another one to try it without a competent YES IT WILL WORK answer.

I love my FP3 on my 14SGS and sooooo glad I did it... but for my 120ST in my 15RGS, I talked to Jamie Long and Bob Menning at length from Fuel Moto and decided I will be getting the Power Vision with the new Target Tune with wide-band O2's to run with my 1074X Thunder Header which is already equipped with wideband O2 ports in the header.

It should have because you got rid of the cat. That full sac pipe is a good pipe. Are you going to autotune it again?
