Hi Everyone.

Sold my Dyna last year and been lurking for a few months while I plot a new SG. Pulled the trigger on 2013 ember red model with security, abs, and cruise. Ordered black blade wheels and a color matched detachable tour pack for the wifey. Went all black on the hardware and having my dealer powder coat the chrome hardware that comes with the TP. Also went with vance and hines dresser duels, widow slip ons, and their Duke intake. All in black. Hope its a loud and throaty. And swapping the chrome crash bar for a black one. They will dyno tune it with a SE tuner. I hope the red, black, and some chrome will be cool. just got to see.

It kind of will look like this. MyCustomBikeWallpaper_1024_768.jpg

I'll post a pick when they have it all together. I am north west of Washington DC in between DC and Baltimore. Usually ride up in around PA, down to VA, some NC, and here and there. Hit a few Nascar races and like to ride to those and catch up with friends. Will mule this to the beach if we go this year. This is lower NC and some nice riding around there.

The lurking has been helpful as folks have lots of ideas and suggestions and all. Plus its cool to see what other folks do to their SG's and challenges if any.

Cheers. Gizmosman.

Welcome to the forum Gizmosman, and congratulations on the new bike, Sounds like it is going to turn out nice, post pictures so we can see how it all looks.

Wecome to the forum from up here in Michigan! Can't wait to see pics of those wheels, as well as the rest of you new scooter.

Stopped by my dealer and added the Kuryakyn phase 7 headlight, pulsating brake controller, and load equalizer. Don't really need the LE now, but they will rough it in and not connect it. This way I can convert the turn signals to LED myself and then just connect the LE in.

I would like the driving lights and halo ring. Just do not know if it will look good chrome or black. I first thought black as that is the theme, but I am leaving some chrome for a little bling, so I am not sure. I think I'll wait until I get it, ride it a little, then add later and pick the color. I do not like any of the back dress kits that stick on over existing stuff. a lot seems cheap. and I am not going to convert front end to black at this time. So with the forks and other front end stuff staying satin aluminum, i am leaning toward chrome. Will just have to see how the other black stuff turns out.

More to follow.

Here are a few pictures. Been in the 30's a lot the past few weeks. Got to mid 50's and had some time this afternoon for a ride. I am now spoiled. Nice...

I do want to add the front driving lights. Do not know if I should stay with chrome or go with black. I would switch them to LED. I am not thinking of blacking out the front end at this time. What do folks think?

If your eventually going to make the lowers black i would go with black driving lights. Maybe evn look into getting a bezel for the front headlight thats black. Look at my pics they are very inexpensive. Good looking bike. Even contrast.

Looking great - I know u said u wanted a chrome front end but maybe powder coat would look good as well - like this one

I like the brushed aluminum look. not really the chrome for the forks and lowers. I like the black, but its a lot of $ and/or time to do the whole thing. not sure the contrast. plus the rear lights are chrome and i do not see a black replacement I like. I do not think it would look good with the rear lights chrome and the front black, but i like black, and that is my quandary. So I think ill replace the license hold with a black curved unit from Kury, convert to LED's in the rear, and still not sure chrome or black lights on the front. Probably need to just get out and ride it a bunch and then see.

I pulled my rear lights off, took about 20 minutes. Pulled the electrical then sent it in with my bars to powder coating. I am doing the same with my front lights, lowers, cowbells and shroud soon.
