I've read a couple of post on here from people buying light DOT helmets but didn't see much on after time results.Hoping someone will chime in on this,my wife had a back operation a few years back and feels the heavier helmets are putting some pressure on her now.Trying not to buy several useless helmets so your input could narrow it down.In Michigan we generally don't where one but heading to Tennessee and Carolina's in July.

DK if you've found anything yet, but a lot depends on what kind of helmet you want.

For warmer weather I wear a Crazy Al's carbon fibre helmet (https://www.amazon.com/WORLDS-SMALL...ords=crazy+al's+helmet&qid=1617048280&sr=8-14).

In the colder months I wear a Schuberth C4 Pro Carbon Tempest (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/schuberth-c4-pro-carbon-tempest-helmet).

Things like head shape, helmet shape, shell size, helmet type, and shell material all make a difference. RevZill has some good vids on sizing and picking a helmet that you might find helpful.
