Started my 2008 street glide yesterday i moved it and it idled for 5 seconds and it died on me. Ive owned this bike for a couple years with no issues so far.
When i try to start it the lights come on and everything but when I push the button there's nothing there. The fuel pump doesnt activate and it doesnt start. The security sysyem on it doesnt seem to be working properly so i thought it might be the fob battery. So i got my spare ...nothing. Replaced both batteries...still nothing. So i tried to enter my code in manually to see if I could start it . I can't proceed past this point. It won't let me in to put the numbers for the manual override and I've tried all the different methods.
I checked the battery which is new...a few weeks old. Checked the fuses. I really think it has something to do with the security system as it doesnt seem to be working properly. When i turn the key on...radio...lights...everything works...except the fuel pump and bike doesnt start. No noise.
Any ideas of a backdoor for the security system when it doesn't let me in manually? Any ideas on what could've malfunctioned? At this point my only option is to tow it.
