Has anyone installed or have any good or bad things to say about the Fatbagges Inc.lowering kit? This supposedly doesn't affect anything on the suspension? and all bolt in. I am thinking of doing this modification to drop the seat 2 inches... Any good or bad replies would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know what that company, but what I did was sent my seat to Mean City cycle and they reshaped it for me. It lowered me down and pushed me up a bit. I still wanted more for when I'm backing up so this pass weekend I installed Legends air ride on the bike. Drops the bike around 2 1/2".

Not a lot of room for lowering with a 12" shock... I got a reduced reach seat that took care of the problem... 5'7" and 30" inseam... its 1/2" lower and same forward but much narrower at the inner thigh which lets me sit flat-footed now.

Supposedly a patient that they unbolt the existing frame under seat and put in there lower kit at the seat, doesn't' affect suspension at all! all bolt on. I have a forward seat also but when I go to backing the bike up I get nervous. I am afraid that I will get in that situation that I cant back up....

Ok so your talking about their drop seat kit. One issue I see with that set up is the seat, you have to use theirs. It's not cheap either. I was in the same boat as you with back up my bike, the air shocks will make a world of difference.

The whole kit is about 2500.00 from Fatbaggers Inc. and about 1079.00 from Bikers Choice. that includes the seat. Seem to be the way to go because you are not messing with the suspension at all. Just looked at the four install videos seems like a home project. Was really looking to get a hold of someone that did it. so I can pick there brain. My dealer is willing to do it but they haven't done one either so wondering if they could do a better job than me???

I used the Legend Aero. Love the adjust on the fly option. Saddle bag mounted compressor. My inseam is 30" at best (5'4") and I had the stock seat trimmed down as well. I drop the suspension full for back up and parking lot maneuvers, push it back up to just under stock out on the road. Can take it higher on long hauls as well. Ride at low compression is hard, of course, but really cushy as it rises.

I just had the FBI drop seat kit installed on my 2014 SG. It lowered my seat 3". I'm not flat footed. I'm on the balls of my feet when straddling my bike. I can back it up well enough. Installing the kit did not change the stock handling or suspension. The Danny Grey seat that came with the kit is "Nice". Do not get the narrow seat unless you have no ass. I'm curious about the Legend Aero A air shocks. Has anyone ridden a bike with the Aero A setup?. Is there and "pogo'ing" when hitting hard bumps at speed?.

I have the Areo-A installed, overall I'm happy. Still playing with air pressure settings.
