I just emailed Mean City Cycles about having the driver seat, passenger seat and both backrests done. I want the Super Narrow for me with 2" forward and 2" lower for me and the Single Wide with 4" wide (if possible to go this wide without interfering with the sissy bar tubing) for my wife. Will those of you who have had this mod done and have since logged a pretty good amount of seat time, please give me the good, bad and ugly scoop on it? Thanks

Update: I sent my seat and both backrests off to MCC. I have to say that they were very professional and super easy to deal with. The workmanship looks to be top notch. I ended up going with the Super Narrow mod (moved fwd 1"), for the driver's seat and Single Wide mod (2" wider), for the passenger seat. Both backrests also have memory foam installed in them and they're much fuller and softer than stock. Here are a few pics.

Looks Good, I was just looking at MCC for seat options but not being close enough to try out I hate to spend the money & not be what I am after.
Thanks. I had the same concern as you initially, but I figured it was worth the risk. I was never completely flatfooted on the motorcycle before the mods and now I am. Secondly, my wife couldn't ride much more than 100 miles at a time before complaining of discomfort. Hopefully she will be much more comfortable now and we can take longer rides. I do understand the risk you would be taking though, as the mods to driver seat, passenger seat and backrests can be very pricy with shipping. It might be worth a call to tell them what you're looking for and see if they can make it happen.
I have super narrow 2" down 2" forward and double wide passenger mods. Only down falls I have ran into is my thigh sometimes hits the rockerbox cover and its freaking hot and with less padding my ass gets hot on hot days

I have a stock SG seat and a Sundowner, both modified by MCC. 2 inches down and 2 back. Just did 2200 miles on the sundowner in 3 days and it was super comfortable.

I think im going to do the same thing. Did you have anything done to the passenger seat? And how far forward did the super narrow put you i need to go down, but not necessarily foward, although a little bit wont hurt anything.

I just got mine back from MCC. Nice quality, lowered 2" and Super Narrow. with the single wide passenger for the wife. They even put tailbone relief in it for her at no extra charge. Her ride time went from 20-30min a pop to as long as I wanted to go. $320 Best money I've spent on it so far.
Highly reccomend! Im 6ft and had mine raised an inch and back an inch or so. Seat is so much better!. Stock seat I would tend to slide forward and constantly have to adjust. Now I don't slide and am so much more comfortable. Also had passenger done too. Wife loves it!
Highly recommended. I had them do the super narrow down and forward 2" on the rider seat and double decker on the passenger pillion. I love it.
