Metal on streamline floorboards?

Hello I was wondering if anyone knows what type of metal the bars are on the streamline floorboards and passenger footrests?

Step 1: See if a magnet sticks to 'em.

I did that and it does. I also did some research to see if stainless steel in magnetic and some is.

I doubt that it is stainless. Probably chrome plated steel.
