Does anyone have Mighty Mite cooling fans made by Love Jugs? If so could you post pics and video of it working? What are your thoughts on them and do they cool like advertised. Trying to decide between Cool-masters and Mighty-mite fans....

The mighty mite fans are a copy of these; http://wardspartswerks.com/index.html but Jason has suspended building them, not sure why and not sure he will start again. I've been following the Wards-LJ saga, as I've been wanting to add the fans. Jason is a small business/Vet so I'd like to support him (have heard nothing but positive about his fans). Love Jugs no doubt just outright copied his stuff, and while I'm all about capitalism I'm undecided if that was a dick move on their part or not.

But, to answer your question so far I've only seen positive reviews on the mighty mites. The HD forum has some ongoing threads about them if nobody here has them yet.

I have a set of Mighty Mite fans. They work fine. They come pre-wired for an H-D accessory switch harness you install on a Street Glide.

They look like Wards Fans but the fans use different components.

Love Jugs is the patent holder for this type of cooling fan: https://www.google.com/patents/US8812189

Thanks Scott14SG, I've read the drama between those two companies. It is interesting to say the least. Honestly the love jugs have been straight forward and even tested against other fans. I just can't decide between the smaller unobtrusive mighty mite fans or the larger coool-master which definitely puts out more air but is bulkier.

Hulkss, do you have any photos? Are the fans loud? I'm sure you can't hear them with the engine running correct?

I have been looking at Mighty Mite fans & Wards fans and read the battle between them. As consumers we don't really give a rat's tail on their battle (not to be an A$$), we just want a product that we can get and use to cool our V-Twins....and most of all, the kind of $$$ that we are shelling out I don't feel I should be waiting more than few days to get. I am not keen on signing up and be on a list and then hope to get it whenever.....that does not fly with me. If Love Jugs has one in stock and folks like hulkss has approved (LOL) then that's where I will be sending my hard earned $$$ to. I truly wish the best for Wards and the fact that he is working alone is not helping but again....if his fans are way cheaper than Love Jugs then I can see why I should wait the time frame he has on his website but not going to wait for one to get to me where I can get one from Love Jugs which is identical product.

hulkss,
Since fans are a lot smaller, do they really blow strong to cool them twins? I am really wanting to get them but I don't want to be disappointed, and the reason I am saying is I don't see satisfaction guaranty statement on both product. I don't want to be the guy trying to sell it on CL or SG.com after getting it....LOL! I don't want to get the bigger version of the fans.

Thanks!

The little fans blow a surprising amount of air. They take a few seconds to get up to speed as they spin over 10,000 rpm. I just switch them on when needed in slow traffic.

They come wired to work off an H-D accessory switch kit you mount in the fairing (not included): p/n 71400106 if you have the auxiliary lamp switch; p/n 71400105 if you don't.

Here's some more info. comparison-of-Love-Jugs-new-Mighty-Mites-with-Wards

BTW: I sanded off the logo and used a little black spray paint.

Thanks Hulkss.... that was some of the info I was looking for.

The link hulks included shows black version is $299 but Love Jugs website is showing $329.......is there any kind of discount for being SG Forum member? If so how much discount?

Mighty Mite fans

I think that was the introductory price when they first launched. Price went up to regular amount now.
