Mileage check-in!!! How much to you ride?

Purchased 03/27/2014
KM's to date- 19,359 (12,012 miles)
July 1 to Sept 15/14 spent time in the dealer getting fixed from a run away milk truck at 5am in the morning while we where on a trip.
Winter time very little riding till March.

Bought mine 2/13/15 and was down six weeks. Today I have just hit 7000 miles on it.

Got to break her in.

Got to break her in.

You all are some riding fools...LOL when I purchase a new Harley I always bring my bags with me when I pick the bike up, I load the bags and make a 1000 mile service appointment before I leave, usually 3 days or 4 later. got to have personal time to bond with the new ride...sound crazy? I love it just me and the road with the new ride.

Hey Sarge,
That's sounds like a great plan and one after my own heart. I'm not a high miler but I'm steady. I average between 1k and 1.5 k per month during riding season not including trips. Pretty much what I've always done. Probably around 8k a year but in Minnesota we do have our limitations dictated by weather events

Purchased on my Birthday 2-8-14. I now have 18K miles. I live on an island so I believe if I lived on the continent, I would have a lot more miles. Loving every second riding my SG

Purchased 6/6/2015... To date only 428 miles. Being I'm a brand new rider and it's my first bike ever I've been taking it slow and easy to learn what y'all already know. My trips are becoming much longer now and confidence has grown tremendously. Hectic work schedule and extreme summer temps in Florida have limited my runs. Put 80 miles on yesterday out in the country just cruising and perfecting turns from a stop.
Thankfully the Wife understands the need for saddle time and "allows" it.. Haha she wants to ride but doesn't trust me yet... I don't blame her

That is usally what I put on a year, around 8k with trips. thats alot of miles for MN. if you lived farther south I have no doubt it would be more, most of the time you can ride 10 months out of the year here in MO. that is if you like riding in cooler weather which I am sure your use to.

purchased 2013/8/28

but was out of country for 10 months on work. Bike was parked

to date done 44800 km = 27 837 miles

13 months

Update: 18,016 now purchase 4-12-14

2,728 miles on the Sturgis trip

I bought this sexy girl to ride so that's what I'm doing and having the time of my life.

Rhsra you keep your short trips going and getting more comfortable with her and the long stuff will come later. Have you taken a riders safety course ?? If not I would sign up for one and this will really help build your confidence and knowledge. Took one a couple years ago and being male I thought I knew just about everything already but I was wrong and I learned a lot really helping in the slow speed handling.

Live in Ohio..was cold and monsoon most of spring and beginning of summer...bought her a year ago on August 7th and have 13100 miles..not too bad considering parked from October 20th till April due to crazy winter conditions.

Yes Tom.. Taking the course was the first thing I did.. And it did help a lot. Although 2 days training on a street 500 did get my feet wet but the Glide is a much bigger puddle...I'm confident in the basics ... Just putting in the time and payin my dues till it all becomes second nature.. Even the beginner stuff is new and exciting .. Time and patience I have..

Sounds like you are on the right track with what your doing then. When I'm messing around I find an open parking lot and do tight turns and figure eights and fast starts then stops just for the practice. Has come in handy a few times with idiots in cages not paying attention. Had to do a lot of tight maneuver's the last couple of weeks around a lot of bikes keeps you on your toes. But it was fun.

Just keep practicing and it would help to find a friend to ride with that could help you out learning.

Mojo you did it again:). I think you posted your purchase date incorrectly...should be 2013? I purchased mine November 2013.

todays mileage: 16,182
