Hey Everyone, I purchased the Quad Lock for my iPhone15 Pro. I got the clutch/brake mount. However, after riding this summer, it actually really annoys me how high and in your face the phone is, as well as the amount of vibration I get at the top of my handlebars. I did get the vibration dampener.
I decided while I had the fairing off to look at mounting the quadlock mount to the dummy media compartment door on the left of the radio. The hope there is that the phone will still be visible when needed, out of the way of the radio and guages, but nice and cleanly mounted in the inner fairing.
Has anyone else done this? What mount did you use? I know drilling holes in the inner fairing is scary, but I am strongly considering replacing it with a color matched inner anyways. So I thought I would test it out on the OEM inner fairing (which is already pretty scratched up and marked from the previous owners install of the handlebars. Both the clutch and brake cable caused rub marks on the inner fairing.
I'll attach some photos of the finished job once everything is on the bike. Curious to see what others have fabricated outside of the default locations.
