I would just like to say Thank You to all the previous posts regarding the seat on the new Street Glides. I have been riding my old 97 Heritage since 1999. Still have her, but hubby wanted me to get a newer bike for our long trips. I wanted a radio too. I went to visit 2 of my sons in MS, and came back owning a new white pearl. Loved the bike, but was uncomfortable in the seat. Couldn't reach the ground well enough to feel safe backing. Read comment about feeling on top of the bike instead on down in it. I took your advise and called Lori at Mean City Cycles. They are the bomb. Packed my seat, sent it to them, and had it back in a week. Spent the extra $$ for the expedited service that was recommended in several of the posts. Well worth the money. Hubby had my seat back on with new heat deflectors, and was riding last Sunday. Lori recommended the super narrow, lowered and moved me forward plus the added tailbone channel. Seat is perfect. I told Lori I was going to post this and re-name the seat "The Lori Seat". She really knows her stuff. Great customer service, plus I still have my original seat. Did I mention, Lori rides a street glide herself, and has this same seat modification. Hope this post helps someone else as much as your forum helped me. I trusted your comments, and now I love, love, love my new bike. Thanks for all your comments.
Now, to a different subject. I need comments back on pipes. I run Vance and Hines long shots on my old heritage. Any advise on how they actually sound on the new street glide. Went to their site, but can't really tell. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for all your help. Safe riding.
